The managed portfolio covers all Vodafone locations and properties, including the previous Kabel Deutschland locations. The total area under management of over 400,000 m² includes 180 Vodafone shops, 108 technology buildings, five call centres, the main data centre in Ratingen and Vodafone’s German headquarters “Vodafone Campus” in Düsseldorf.
In addition to building cleaning and groundskeeping, STRABAG PFS will be responsible for maintenance and servicing of all technical installations relating to the building, particularly special subsections.
“In Vodafone, we have gained another large and established telecommunications company, enabling us to further extend our market leadership in the telecommunications and wireless industry”, said the CEO of STRABAG PFS, Dr Jörg Rosdücher, commenting on the deal. “This order is another great challenge for us in our core area, smooth operation of buildings and technical installations, but we can draw on our many years of industry expertise and our presence throughout Germany”, said Dirk Brandt, Managing Director of STRABAG PFS, whose responsibilities include technical facility management.
As well as serving telecommunications companies, STRABAG PFS also manages the radio equipment and locations of several German regional and federal agencies such as the German Federal Agency for Public Safety Digital Radio (BDBOS) and the German air-traffic control body DFS.
